Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all lessons and packages purchased from MeinKorean.

1. Refunds Before Lessons Begin
  • If no lesson has taken place, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, according to EU consumer law (right of withdrawal).

  • Transaction or payment processing fees charged by Stripe/PayPal/banks will be deducted from the refund amount.

2. Refunds After Lessons Have Started

Once the first lesson has taken place:

  • Refunds apply only to the remaining unused lessons, and only within the package validity period.

  • Refund amount = Remaining lessons × lesson unit price
    (Unit price is calculated based on the package price.)

Example:
If you purchased a 12-lesson package and used 3 lessons → refund = value of remaining 9 lessons.

3. Cases Where Refunds Cannot Be Granted

Refunds are not possible in the following situations:

  • The package validity period has already expired

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours

  • Lessons missed without notice (no-show)

  • Student cannot continue due to personal reasons, including:

    • schedule changes

    • travel

    • work changes

    • exams

    • stress, motivation issues

    • “I don’t have time anymore”

  • All lessons in the package have been used

  • Student requests an extension instead of a refund

  • Student’s internet, device, or software issues prevent attendance

Personal reasons are not valid reasons for refunds.

4. Refund Processing
  • Refunds are processed within 7 business days after approval

  • Refunds are issued to the same payment method used during purchase

  • Used lessons + payment processing fees are automatically deducted

5. Package Validity Period

To prevent misunderstanding:

  • 4 lessons → valid for 1 month

  • 8 lessons → valid for 1 month

  • 12 lessons → valid for 3 months

  • 16 lessons → valid for 3–4 months

Unused sessions expire automatically once the validity period ends.
Expired lessons cannot be refunded.

6. Non-Refundable Services

The following items are non-refundable because they are delivered immediately:

  • Real-time feedback during sessions

  • Personalized lesson planning

  • Digital materials and worksheets

  • Preparation time for upcoming lessons

  • Teacher’s reserved time slot

These services cannot be returned and therefore cannot be refunded.

7. Emergency Exceptions

Medical emergencies may be considered
once per package,
at the teacher’s discretion.
Approval is not guaranteed.
