Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all lesson packages offered by MeinKorean,
including 1:1 Lessons, Group Classes, Special Programs, and TOPIK Exam Preparation courses.

1. Payment & Agreement

By completing the payment, the student confirms that they have read, understood,
and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Lesson preparation, scheduling, and personalized planning begin immediately upon purchase.

2. Course Registration & Confirmation

Course registration is confirmed once payment has been completed.

Upon payment, instructor availability is reserved and lesson preparation begins.
For this reason, all lesson packages are non-refundable,except where explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 1:1 Lessons & Group Classes

(10- or 20-session packages)

Refunds are not available once the course has started.

A course is considered started when:

  • the first lesson has taken place, or

  • lesson schedules or learning materials have been provided.

3.2 Special Programs

(5-session intensive courses, e.g. Travel Korean, K-Drama & K-POP Korean)

Due to their short-term and intensive nature,
Special Programs are non-refundable once booked, regardless of lesson attendance.

3.3 TOPIK Exam Preparation

(10 sessions – €450)

TOPIK Exam Preparation is a premium, specialized program and is
non-refundable under any circumstances.

As exam strategies, materials, and scheduling are prepared in advance,
the course is considered started upon registration.

3.4 General Conditions

  • Partial refunds for unused lessons are not available.

  • Unused lessons cannot be transferred, refunded, or credited.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Lessons may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson start time,
or failure to attend a lesson without prior notice (no-shows),
are counted as completed lessons and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests are valid only when submitted via email
or the officially designated contact method
.

If a student is unable to attend a lesson due to personal technical issues
(e.g. internet connection or device problems),
the lesson is considered completed as scheduled.

Additional Rules for Group Classes

Group lessons are conducted with multiple participants.
For this reason, make-up lessons or replacement sessions are not provided
for individual absences.

5. Validity Period

All lesson packages must be used within their stated validity period:

  • 10 sessions → 12 weeks

  • 20 sessions → 24 weeks

  • Special Programs (5 sessions) → 7 weeks

  • TOPIK Exam Preparation → according to the exam schedule

Lessons not used within the validity period expire automatically.
Extensions, transfers, or refunds are not available.

Personal circumstances do not automatically extend the validity period.

6. Instructor-Initiated Cancellations

If a lesson is canceled by the instructor,
it will be rescheduled or compensated with an additional lesson.

Refunds are not provided in such cases.

7. Limited Exceptions

In cases of serious medical conditions or long-term hospitalization,
schedule adjustments may be considered upon submission of official documentation.

Refunds are not provided.
Any adjustments are granted at the instructor’s discretion only.

8. Payment & Currency

All prices are listed in euros (€).

Any transaction fees or exchange rate differences
are the responsibility of the student.

9. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated with prior notice.

Updated policies apply only to new registrations
made after the announcement date.

10. Limited Exception Before Course Start

As a limited and exceptional case, a cancellation request submitted within 7 days of payment and before any lesson, scheduling,or learning materials have been provided may be eligible for a partial refund.

In such cases, 90% of the paid amount will be refunded,with 10% retained as an administrative and preparation fee.

10.1 Clarification on Subjective Dissatisfaction

Personal dissatisfaction, change of preference, lack of motivation,or the belief that the course does not meet individual expectations does not constitute grounds for a refund once the course has started or preparation has begun.
